Joanne Papini has been caring for dogs since childhood. Joanne developed the concept for the Fairy Dog Mother Inn when she couldn't stand to leave her lab Carlo at a kennel and none of her friends or family members were able to take him.
She thought. . .
. . .What if they're used to your constant companionship?
. . . What if your dogs are like your children?
. . .What if they have special needs? (sleeping on your bed, drinking from the cereal bowl or special medical treatments...)
Joanne and her partners are true dog lovers. They cherish each new furry face and personality. Resident dog Carlo loves everyone too! He plays gently with little dogs (even chihuahuas). He loves to romp with big dogs but is happy to share, always submissive. Typically, the Inn has 7-8 guests per night on average, (several more during holidays and some Saturdays).
The Inn is a former residence and care home turned into a doggy/dog-parent dream come true. It features:
*1.5 acre gardens and grounds, including a private
off-leash trail...plenty of holes to dig!
*We're on the canal walking trail near the open space.
*Our walks and hikes never involve walking on the street!
*Secure fencing but far from cars and road
*Ideal set-up for constant supervision, human companionship
*2 separate outdoor play areas (expanding to 4 when needed)
*A large air-conditioned living-room/play area
*Our bed is low to the ground and surrounded by dogbeds.
*3 cozy bedrooms and a narrow hallway convert to cozy
nap or sleep areas visible from the Fairy Dog Mother's bed.
